After the homecoming parade 23 students, faculty, staff, and community members volunteered for Krewe de Coulee: Homecoming Clean up on Monday, Nov 11th to pick up beads and trash left behind after Saturday’s homecoming parade before the beads and litter could enter our storm drain systems, coulees, and our local Bayou Vermilion.
Did you know there are numerous innovative and impactful initiatives and projects coming from Acadiana's non-profits and organizations?
Each organization is working in various topics centered around improving the overall Quality of Life in Acadiana. Topics range from landscapes, habitats, watersheds, saving rare native species, clean energy, materials management, governance, recreation, providing community access to food, clothing, feminine products, books, shelter, resources and more.
2024's Fête de la Terre, UL Lafayette's Office of Sustainability annual celebration of the Earth, got even bigger with the addition of the first ever Louisiana Sustainability Summit and an earth day tree planting in addition to the usual week of activies leading up to the Fête de la Terre Expo! This year's Fête de la Terre was held from April 10-22nd.
